Great Falls is the Electric City founded in 1884. The Missouri River provides the city with the inspiration for its name because of the 500 feet of a series of rapids and 5 waterfalls. It was the home of Charles M. Russell, one of Montana’s most treasured artists and cowboys. Population: 55,000
