Butte

Butte has a rich and interesting history. It was one of the largest copper boomtowns in the 19th and 20th centuries. The war of the Copper Kings, William A. Clark, Marcus Daly, and F. Augustus Heinze was a fight for control of the copper industry, mines, and the mines wealth. It is home of the Berkely Pit, the largest superfund site in the U.S.
